Group Support For Educators: Growing Together
I am hearing from more and more educators about how much they wish for a community to gather with regularly to get support for how to keep the attachment-based developmental approach alive in their classrooms. Many teachers are telling me how excited they are after a workshop or reading the book – but that they feel quite alone in their efforts afterward. I hear you and know that feeling. Having a village of support is needed now more than ever.
That is why Tamara (the co-author of Reclaiming Our Students) and I will be offering monthly mentorship sessions for educators.
Our first session is on
June 9, 2020: 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm Pacific/ 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm EST
Each month we will provide a space for educators to come together for insight, support, and encouragement. We will provide mentorship through facilitating discussion and answering questions. We will explore what’s behind some of the challenging behaviours we experience in our classrooms and look at ways to connect with students who may be difficult to reach.
This month’s topic: Facilitating emotional release for our students. We will look at practical ways that educators can lead inside-out activities for their students both online or together, in a socially distanced way. This workshop will provide ideas for activities that can help to lower aggression and alarm in our students as well as tips for facilitating them with various age groups and children that are harder to reach. (Geared to students in grades K-12)
Come be a part of our village – Let’s grow together!
