During this challenging time – many children (well, all of us!) are filled with many, many emotions. We need to make room for all of children’s emotions, even their very tender feelings.
Understandably, it can be hard to see our kids or students sad. We might want to rush in and make it better! But children need a safe space to feel and express their emotions.
Help children express their SAD and HAPPY feelings.
This movement activity can support kids to find some release as well as help to normalize our feelings. We all feel sad sometimes. We all feel happy sometimes. This is normal and part of being human. ( Geared to kids ages 4 – 8)
Watch the video below for the parent/teacher introduction followed by the movement and play experience for children (if you want to SKIP straight to the activity, go to 3:05).
